J&K: One terrorist killed in ongoing encounter
In an ongoing encounter between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir, at least one terrorist has reportedly been killed while two to three others have been trapped. The encounter is taking place in J&K's Uri area in the Baramulla sector. On Tuesday, a grenade attack by terrorists in South Kashmir had claimed at least three civilian lives and injured 17 CRPF personnel.
Terrorists opened fire on security forces
Indian security forces had gone on a search operation in the Kalgai area of Uri, after getting a tip on the presence of terrorists in the area. The encounter began after the terrorists opened fire on the security forces. The area has been cordoned off, thus trapping the remaining terrorists. Civilians have been evacuated from the area.
