J&K: Government order demarcation of Poonch Fort to remove encroachments
In an effort to restore the glory of a historic monument, authorities in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district have ordered demarcation of the land pertinent to the Poonch Fort to remove encroachments. District Development Commissioner, Poonch, Mohammad Aijaz constituted a three-member team to carry out the exercise and asked to submit its report in two weeks, an official spokesperson said today. The district administration would issue notices to the encroachers and has appealed to them to voluntarily remove encroachments and cooperate in the interest of the common good of the people of the district, the spokesperson said.
