ISRO hiring young scientists, engineers: All you need to know
The esteemed Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is hiring engineers and scientists and has announced 28 vacancies. Graduates of electrical, refrigeration and air conditioning, and civil engineering as well as architecture can apply. The posts are in Level 10 of the pay matrix with a minimum monthly basic pay of Rs. 56,100. Here are all details about it.

The ISRO is looking for Scientists/Engineers 'SC' (Civil), Scientists/Engineers 'SC' (Electrical), and Scientists/Engineers 'SC' (Refrigeration & Air Conditioning) for different locations, including at the Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad, and the Semi-Conductor Laboratory, Chandigarh. Both are autonomous institutions under the Department Of Space.
Who are eligible to apply?
Freshers who will appear for their finals this year as well as those with experience, with a minimum 65% or 6.84 CGPA, are eligible to apply. Candidates must be below 35 years of age. Age limit for OBC category is 38 years, and 40 for SC/ST. For some posts, candidates will have to produce the registration certificate of the Council of Architecture.
How will candidates be screened?
Initial screening will be based on details given in the biodata. Shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test, to be held in 12 cities. Call letters will be sent out by March third week. Those who clear the test will be called for an interview. Candidates scoring over 60% in the interview will be considered for empanelment in order of merit.
How can you apply?
Interested candidates can apply till March 5 at www.isac.gov.in/ced-2018/advt.jsp. The application fee is Rs. 100. Make sure you enter communication details correctly, especially email ID. If you are already employed with the government, PSUs or autonomous bodies, you will have to produce a no-objection certificate. After successful registration, you will get a registration number, which has to be preserved for future reference.
