Suspected ISIS operative arrested in Mumbai, was planning terror attacks
A suspected ISIS terrorist was arrested from the Mumbai Airport yesterday. Abu Zaid was nabbed as soon as he arrived from Saudi Arabia, police said. Zaid had been allegedly residing in Riyadh and was involved in radicalizing youths. He had also formed a social media group to lure them. He will now be taken into custody and interrogated.

Zaid's name up when other ISIS operatives were interrogated
Zaid's name cropped up when the UP ATS was interrogating ISIS suspects arrested in raids across states in April'17. Their mobile records also implicated him. "They used to talk via an application on the internet and Zaid was their ideologue," said ADG (Law and order) Anand Kumar. They were allegedly planning terror attacks in different cities. A lookout notice was then issued against Zaid.
Last month, five suspects were nabbed in Kerala
This comes a week after five people were held in Kerala for their suspected links to the ISIS. Police had reportedly been tracking them as they tried to make their way to Syria. If convicted, they face a maximum jail term of 10 years.
