26-year-old Isha Ambani gets an MBA from Stanford University

What's the story

It's been a memorable couple of months for Isha Ambani, daughter of Mukesh Ambani. A little over a month after announcing her engagement, she has now completed her MBA from the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University. The 26-year-old, a board member at Reliance Jio and Reliance Retail, already has a Bachelor degree in Psychology and South Asian Studies from Yale University.

Isha was named among Forbes' 12 "powerful businesswoman" from Asia

Isha, already a firebrand upcoming businesswoman, was named by Forbes in 2015 among 12 "power businesswomen" from Asia "who're on their way to forging stellar reputations in their industries." The same year, she was among the youngest businesspersons at the World Economic Forum meeting. She has worked as a business analyst with McKinsey and Company, and led the employee launch of Jio's4G services.

Isha reportedly plans to take the family business forward

Earlier this week, Isha was among the 2,460 students who have been awarded a master's degree this year by Stanford at its 127th commencement ceremony. According to reports, she will now continue to be part of the family business.

Isha all set to marry the Piramal scion

Walking ahead with her in life would be Anand Piramal, son of business tycoon Ajay Piramal. The couple made it official last month. Anand is a Harvard Business School graduate and serves as the executive director of the $4bn family-run conglomerate, Piramal Enterprises. He has also founded two start-ups - Piramal eSwasthya and Piramal Realty. The high-profile wedding has been scheduled for December.

A December to remember for the Ambanis?

2018 is expected to end on a high note for the Ambanis, as even Isha's brother Akash will reportedly exchange wedding vows with Shloka Mehta, daughter of diamantaire Russell Mehta, in December. The two, who studied together at Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai, have been close friends for years. A formal engagement ceremony has been planned on June 30 for Akash and Shloka.
