NITI Aayog offering internship opportunity: All you need to know
NITI Internship Scheme is an opportunity for all students enrolled in undergraduate, graduate and post graduate courses in any recognized institute or university. Offered by NITI Aayog since 2015, it allows students to get hands-on experience at how the government agency works, and to get involved in the analysis process through empirical collection of information or collation of in-house data.
Internship aims to familiarize with functioning of Indian government
NITI Aayog or the National Institution for Transforming India is a policy think-tank, which was formed by the Union Cabinet on January 1, 2015. It provides both directional and policy inputs, designs strategic and long term policies, along with giving technical advice to both the Central and State governments. The idea behind the internship is to make students understand working of the government.
NITI Internship Scheme would be available throughout the year
The interns will be assigned to 25 different departments or verticals including agriculture, data management and analysis, economics, governance, foreign trade, energy sector and tourism and culture.
