    Chartered Accountancy (CA) is one of the most sought-after and toughest professional courses in the country.

    The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India provides the three-level CA program.

    Clearing CA is not easy and many spend years preparing to crack it. However, there are some students who beat all odds to clear CA.

    Here are the inspiring stories of five such CA top rank-holders.

    Tailor's son, Shadab Hussain, topped the 2018 CA Final exam

    Shadab Hussain, the son of a tailor, of Rajasthan's Kota topped the CA Final (November 2018) exam by securing AIR 1.

    Though his parents couldn't get a proper education, they worked hard to ensure that Hussain got proper schooling.

    Hussain said that he studied day and night to get a job so that his parents do not have to bother about their old age.

    Rajasekhar Reddy, India's first visually impaired Chartered Accountant

    In 2013, J Rajasekhar Reddy of Andhra Pradesh's Guntur cleared the 2012 CA Final exam to become the country's first visually challenged Chartered Accountant.

    He lost vision due to optic nerve damage caused by a brain tumor at 11.

    Studying for CA was very difficult for him but his teachers and volunteers helped him record books into an audio format and prepare for CA.

    Ajit Shekhawat, who was born with cerebral palsy, cleared CA in 2009. He wanted to become a CA since he completed Class-12. He did not let his physical challenges come in the way of achieving his aim and cracked CA with dedication and hard work.

    Prema Jayakumar, autorickshaw driver's daughter, secured AIR-1 in first attempt

    Prema Jayakumar, the daughter of a migrant Tamilian autorickshaw driver in Mumbai, cleared the challenging CA Final exam in her first attempt.

    She cracked the 2012 CA Final exam and secured 607 out of 800 marks, bagging the AIR 1.

    She wanted to ensure that her father can rest at home and provide her parents with a life of comfort.

    Shailesh Ghule, an office boy hailing from Surat's Limbayat in Gujarat, cracked the CA Final exams in 2010. While doing BCom, he joined an institute as a student and also used to work as an office boy there to reduce financial burden on his family.
