After date, Indian-student found dead in girl's house in Australia
A 25-year-old Indian student in Melbourne, Australia was found dead in the house of a girl he met on a dating site. The deceased identified as Maulin Rathod, was an accounting student, and visited the 19-year-old's house, after their date, in Sunbury suburb in West Melbourne. He was later found with critical injuries. The girl has been booked.
Girl lived alone in apartment, could be charged with murder
When police reached the apartment, Rathod was severely injured and was rushed to a Melbourne hospital where he died later. It is still unclear who called the police. The teen lived alone in her apartment and was charged with intentionally causing serious injuries. Her charges will be reviewed later, and could be upgraded to murder. The girl appeared at the Melbourne Magistrates Court.
Rathod was the only child of his parents, friend reveals
Rathod was the only child of his parents, his friend Lovepreet Singh said. He had moved to Australia for studies, four years ago. Singh added the parents were shocked. "He was a very nice person, had a jolly nature and was a cricket lover. I loved to hang around him. He had a humble personality and tried really hard with his studies," Singh said.
