Telangana farmers' Kiki Challenge trumps all, plus it isn't dangerous
The 'Kiki Challenge' or 'In My feelings Challenge' has taken the internet by storm, and given headaches to authorities who have been pleading to people to keep safety in mind. Amid the 'Oh! this is for fun' and 'Safety comes first' debate, a video of two Telangana farmers has stolen hearts all over. Because it blends both: safety and fun.
Let's understand what the Kiki Challenge is
The Kiki Challenge is inspired by Drake's song 'In My Feelings'. A month ago, social media sensation Shiggy posted an Instagram video dancing to the song. Then Odell Beckham Jr. posted a video of him shaking a leg to the song as he hopped out of a car, starting the challenge. The idea is to match steps with the speed of a slow-moving car.

The challenge was followed by warnings and requests from police
Closer home, celebrities like Nia Sharma and Adah Sharma participated in the challenge, making way for many followers to hop on to the trend. But this charade didn't get the approval of cops, who found it dangerous. Globally, cops have said this challenge leads to chaos on roads, and more importantly can injure the person who takes to dancing on the streets. Not recommended!

The twist Telangana farmers gave to Kiki Challenge is amazing
But the cops all over would not have a problem with what farmers Anil Geela and Pilli Tirupati did. Belonging to Lambadipalli village, Telangana, Geela and Tirupati danced in the mud as bullocks ploughed the field, giving a twist to the Kiki Challenge. "We attempted it a few times, before shooting that video in one take," Geela said, adding they could have slipped.
They won it: Even Trevor Noah is a fan
'My Village Show' blends pop culture and village setting
The video was posted by 'My Village Show', which is handled by Srikanth. This social media account blends pop culture with rural life. The YouTube channel was started in 2012. By 2017 they had over 5L subscribers and thousands of views. Speaking about it, Srikanth said they saw a lot of scope in villages and decided to make funny videos against a rural backdrop.
They wanted to do something different, and they did
"We wanted to show people that it (Kiki challenge) was something fun at end of the day and need not be done in a dangerous way," said Geela about the now viral video. Well, they did prove their point, and now everyone is a fan.
