Two pilots missing after helicopter makes emergency landing in sea
The Indian Coast Guard launched a massive search operation after one of its helicopters—with four crew members on board—reportedly made an emergency landing in the Arabian Sea. The incident occurred off the Porbandar coast, Gujarat during a rescue operation on Monday night. One diver has been rescued—while the search continues for the other diver and two pilots.

The recovered diver's condition is reported to be stable. The Indian Coast Guard reported that the incident occurred as the helicopter was approaching a vessel for evacuation. To aid in the search operation, the Coast Guard has deployed four ships and two aircraft.

The Indian Coast Guard released a statement, "Indian Coast Guard (ICG) Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) which saved 67 lives during recent cyclonic weather in Gujarat was launched around 2300 hours...for medical evacuation of a seriously injured crew onboard Indian Flagged Motor Tanker Hari Leela...in response to a request received from the Master of the vessel."
Rescue operations in Porbandar, Dwarka districts
Rescue operations spanned various talukas in the Porbandar and Dwarka districts. On the first day, an Indian Coast Guard helicopter successfully rescued 33 people despite challenging windy conditions and poor visibility. On the second day, the Coast Guard continued its mission, saving an additional 28 people, raising the total number of lives saved to 61.
