IIT JEE results declared today: Know how to check yours
The results of IIT-JEE (Mains) examination have been declared today, April 30. Students can check their results on jeemain.nic.in and cbseresults.nic.in. The top 224,000 candidates who would clear the JEE Mains exam will have to then appear for the JEE Advanced examination. It has been scheduled for May 20. Here are all the details.
Step by step guide on how to check results
Students who appeared for the examination can visit any of the websites- jeemain.nic.in, or cbseresults.nic.in. They are supposed to fill details including registration number/roll number and date of birth, in the designated blocks. After this, press 'submit' to know the results.
Over 12 lakh students appeared for IIT-JEE this year
Reportedly 12 lakh students appeared for the examination. The offline examination was conducted on April 8, and online on April 15 and 16. The answers to the JEE examination was released by Central Board Of Secondary Education (CBSE) on April 24. The website has put a banner to notify about result announcement. This year, students found the Physics question paper tricky, and Maths lengthy.
Getting admitted to IITs
Grabbing a seat in the prestigious colleges is not only about clearing the examination. Students also need to score at least 75% (65% for SC/ST candidates) marks in the Class 12 exams or hold top 20 percentile in Class 12 exams for state boards.
