IIM-Rohtak sees 100% placements; average package Rs. 11.85 lakh p.a.

According to a press release by IIM-Rohtak, the institute has clocked a 100% placement record this year, with the average package being Rs. 11.85 lakh per annum. Notably, 40 new companies offered jobs to students this year, and 45 candidates were offered PPI/PPOs by top recruiters at the institute. Here are the details.

Most students opted for jobs in marketing
As per IIM-Rohtak's press release, 32% of all the job offers made this year were in the domain of marketing. Posts up for grabs included brand manager, market research analyst, product manager, marketing consultant, and business development managers, among others. Notable recruiters in this domain included Yes Bank, Dabur, BPCL, Tata Steel, IndiaMart, Amul, ACG Worldwide, and Aditya Birla Group.
General management
General management and consulting was also a popular choice
Following on the footsteps of marketing was the domain of general management, and as per the release, 30% of students opted to take up jobs in this area. A major highlight for both the students and the institute was the return of the 'Big 4', with giants like EY, KPMG and Deloitte offering multiple roles in consulting and general management.
Others
What we know about other domains and recruiters
Meanwhile, 21% of students opted for jobs in the IT and analytics domain, and the major recruiters in this area were Cognizant, Accenture, Axtria, Mu Sigma etc. Another 12% of students opted for roles in the domain of finance, with major banks like Kotak Mahindra, HDFC Bank, Yes Bank, and SBI offering roles. The rest of the students picked jobs in non-banking financial companies, or others like Thomson Reuters.
