    IES Prelims 2018 results declared, Mains in July

    What's the story

    The UPSC has declared the results of the Indian Engineering Service (IES) Preliminary exam 2018, which was held on January 7.

    Roll numbers of the shortlisted candidate are available on the official website here.

    Those who have cleared the first stage will have to appear in the Main examination on July 1. E-admit cards will be issued three weeks earlier.

    IES 2018 to select candidates for 588 vacancies

    The IES exam 2018 was held to select candidates for 588 vacancies from civil, mechanical, electrical and electronics & telecommunications engineering fields in various government departments and ministries. The prelims were held in 42 cities across the country.

    Main

    Main exam to comprise two papers with 300 marks each

    The Main exam will comprise two papers carrying 300 marks each. Candidates will get three hours to complete their exam.

    The question paper will be set in English.

    From the mains, double the number of vacancies will be shortlisted for interviews.

    Total marks and Prelims cutoff will be uploaded on the website after the final 2018 IES results.
