ICSE, ISC results out on May 29
The Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) announced results of Class X and XII examinations at 3pm on May 29. Results can be found on its official website: cisce.org. The exams had earlier been rescheduled due to assembly elections in five states. This time, 1,76,327 students had registered for the ICSE (Class X) examination, and 74,544 for the ISC (Class XII) examination.
How to check your results?
Apart from checking the result on the official website, candidates can SMS their unique seven-digit code to 09248082883 to get the results on phone. From this year, students will also be able to use digi-lockers, which will be linked to Aadhaar.
What's new this time?
This year, for the first time, students can apply for rechecking of answer scripts directly through the online portal. The facility will be available from May 29-June 6. Students will also be able to access digilockers this year, which will allow them to store and retrieve digital documents. The locker will be linked to Aadhaar numbers.
Kolkata, Pune, Bengaluru home to 2017 board toppers
Ananya Maiti from Kolkata's Heritage School topped the Class XII exams with a percentage of 99.5%. Overall pass percentage was registered at 96.47%. Meanwhile, the first position for Class X went to Muskan Abdullah Pathan of Pune's Hathcings High School, and Ashwin Rao from Bengaluru's Saint Paul English. Both scored 99.4% In Delhi-NCR, Shashwat Saxena of St. Mary, Meerut Cantt, topped with 98.6%.
