Pakistan's F-16 was shot down, say IAF sources denying US-report
What's the story
After a US publication questioned India's claims of shooting down a Pakistani F-16 fighter jet, Indian Air Force (IAF) sources responded that Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman had shot down Pakistan Air Force's F-16 jet.
Responding to the questions in the Foreign Policy report, the sources said the F-16 was shot down 7-8km inside the Pakistan-Occupied Area in the Sabz Kot area.

Pakistan Air Force's radio communication confirms attack on F-16
News agency ANI quoted IAF sources as saying, "Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman shot down Pakistan Air Force F-16 aircraft 7-8 km inside Pakistan Occupied Area in Sabzkot area there."
"IAF sources also confirmed that radio communication of Pakistan Air Force intercepted by it confirms that one of the F-16s that attacked India on February 27 did not return to its base," ANI tweeted.

Indian Forces confirmed sighting ejections at 2 places: IAF sources
"Indian Forces have confirmed sighting ejections at 2 different places on that day (Feb 27)," the IAF sources were quoted by ANI as saying.
"The 2 sightings were at places separated by at least 8-10 km. One was an IAF MiG 21 Bison & other a PAF aircraft. Electronic signatures gathered by us indicate PAF aircraft was a F-16," they added.
