IAF jet crashes in J&K, two bodies recovered
A Mi-17 jet of the Indian Air Force crashed in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, reports claimed. While the actual reason for the crash hasn't been ascertained, some reports cited technical glitch as a cause. Two bodies have been recovered. Locals said they heard a loud blast around 10 AM. IAF technical team to reach site soon
Speaking on the air crash, SSP Budgam said IAF has been informed and a technical team will visit the site soon. Notably, earlier today three Pakistani jets attempted to violate the airspace of J&K. One of the jets was gunned down within Pakistan territory in Lam valley, Nowshera sector. According to sources, two PAF F-16 jets led intrusion and faced resistance from IAF Su-30s.
