IAF trainer jet crashes in Odisha, pilot injured
What's the story
An Indian Air Force aircraft crashed today in Odisha's Mayurbhanj district, just a month after two pilots were killed in a microlight aircraft crash in Assam.
Fortunately, the trainee pilot in the Hawk advanced trainer jet that crashed today managed to eject himself on time, but sustained some injuries.
The pilot was on a routine training sortie from Kalaikunda Air Force station in Kharagpur.

IAF orders investigation to ascertain cause of accident
On February 15, two air force pilots, identified as Wing Commanders Jai Paul James and T Vats, were killed when their microlight aircraft crashed in Assam's Majuli district. They too were on a routine border sortie. The IAF has ordered an investigation into today's crash.
