Want to donate to Indian Army? Here are 5 ways
The Indian Army stands as one of the world's largest and most esteemed military forces. While we all know about the Army personnel's sacrifices and contributions on the battlefield, they also make valuable contributions, touching people's lives in several other ways. If you wish to show gratitude and donate to the Indian Army, here are five ways to do it.
National Defence Fund for welfare of Armed Forces
Those interested in donating to the Army can contribute to the National Defence Fund (NDF) utilized for the welfare of Armed Forces (also Para Military Forces) members, including the Army and their dependents. The fund is completely dependent on voluntary contributions from the public. Donations can be made online through NDF's website, PM India portals (pmindia.nic.in, pmindia.gov.in), and the State Bank of India's website.
Armed Forces Battle Casualties Welfare Fund
The Army maintains the "Armed Forces Battle Casualties Welfare Fund" account to accept donations for the welfare and financial assistance of the bereaved families of battle casualties. To donate, one can transfer directly to the "Armed Forces Battle Casualties Welfare Fund" account with Canara Bank (IFSC: CNRB0019055; Account No.: 90552010165915). One can make contributions on the National War Memorial's website via UPI, too.
Donate to the Army Central Welfare Fund
Monetary contributions can also be made to the Indian Army through the "Army Central Welfare Fund." One can also transfer funds directly to the bank account of the Army Central Welfare Fund with Union Bank of India (IFSC: UBIN0530778; Account No.: 520101236373338). Refer to the Indian Army's website for more details.
Contributions to Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centre in Pune
One can send donations to the Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centre in Pune, which provides aftercare and rehabilitation to defense forces personnel disabled due to spinal cord injuries (paraplegics and tetraplegics). To donate online, visit the Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centre's website and click on the "Donate Now" option on the homepage. You can make a donation by following some simple steps.
You can make donations to 'Bharat Ke Veer'
Besides the Army, one can also make donations to support the families of martyred Central Armed Police Forces personnel, including the CRPF. Bharat Ke Veer (India's Bravehearts), a brainchild of actor Akshay Kumar, is a government initiative to support the kin of those who laid down their lives in the line of duty. One can donate through the Bharat Ke Veer website or app.
