Steps to activate DND on Airtel, Jio, Vi, other networks
Have those endless promotional calls and messages been annoying you? Here's a solution for you: activating the Do Not Disturb (DND) service. It is a cellular feature that blocks commercial/promotional communication. The good news is you can easily turn on DND services on any major Indian network. So, here are the simple steps to activate DND on Airtel, Jio, Vi, BSNL, and other networks.
How to activate DND on Airtel
First off, head to the Airtel DND page. Then, click on the "Click here" link in the "Airtel Mobile Services" section. Enter your Airtel mobile number in the pop-up box. Next, click on the "Get OTP (one time password)" button. Once you receive it on your phone, enter the OTP in the given box. Finally, select the "Stop all" option and click on "Submit."
Procedure to activate DND on Vi
Log on to the Vi DND page. Next, enter your mobile number and click on "Send OTP." Once the OTP received on your device is verified, you will be able to choose from DND options like Full DND, Block Promos, and Partial DND. Select an option as per your preferences and confirm the same to activate the DND services on your Vi mobile number.
How to activate DND on your Jio number
To activate DND on your Jio mobile number, open the MyJio app on your phone. Next on, tap the hamburger (three bars) icon on the homepage of the app. In the displayed menu, click on the "Profile & Settings" option. Next, under the "Service settings" section, select "Do not Disturb." Finally, select the preferred option and hit on the "Save" button at the bottom.
You can also activate DND via SMS or call
You can also activate DND on your number via SMS/call. Call: To activate DND through voice call, dial 1909 and follow the corresponding IVR instructions. SMS: Open messaging on your phone, type "Start 0," and send to 1909 from your number. Note: This method of DND activation applies not just to the above-mentioned service providers but also to BSNL, MTNL, and other networks.
