Man allegedly shoots dead his father, nephew over land dispute
A man allegedly shot dead his father and nephew in Hoshiarpur's Lamme village in Punjab over a land dispute. The deceased were identified as Sulakhan Singh (84) and his grandson Harmit Singh (37). Accused Balvir is absconding, police said, adding that a case had been registered under Section 302 (murder) of the IPC and Sections 25, 27, 54, and 59 of the Arms Act.
The accused fired a few shots from his licensed rifle
The accused, Balvir Singh, got into an argument with his father Sulakhan over a land dispute, following which he shot at the octogenarian and Harmit. Balvir fired a few shots from his licensed, 12 bore rifle, killing his father and nephew on the spot.
