Home Ministry office in North Block gets bomb threat mail
What's the story
The Delhi Police said that the Ministry of Home Affairs office in Delhi's North Block received an email bomb threat at 3:30pm on Wednesday.
On receiving the mail, a bomb disposal squad, along with fire tenders, was rushed to the spot. However, nothing suspicious was found.
The North Block primarily houses the Ministry of Finance and the Home Ministry.

Other threats
150 schools in Delhi-NCR received bomb threats
This incident is the latest in a series of hoax bomb emails sent to schools, airports, hospitals, and jails in the national capital.
The bomb threat emails received by over 150 schools in Delhi-NCR earlier this month are believed to have been sent from Budapest, Delhi Police officials said on Tuesday.
The mail claimed that bombs had been planted on the school premises.

Investigation traces threats to Russian domain
The threatening email was reportedly sent from 'sawariim@mail.ru', a domain based in Russia.
An officer involved in the investigation stated, "It's likely the IP addresses may be associated with a VPN and establishing the person's connectivity will be a challenge."
"We will seek Interpol's help by sending it a Demi Official (DO) letter, seeking the details of the person who signed up for the email address."

Other cities receive bomb threats
Following the Delhi bomb threat, other cities, including Gujarat, Jaipur, Uttar Pradesh, and Bengaluru, received bomb threats via email.
In UP's Kanpur, at least 10 schools received emails threatening to blow up the schools.
Before that, over 50 schools in Jaipur received similar emails, followed by eight schools in Bengaluru receiving emails threatening bomb blasts.
However, all threats turned out to be hoaxes.
