Himachal CM lauds progress of Dharamshala smart city project
Himachal CM Jai Ram Thakur today reviewed the progress of the Dharamsala smart city project worth Rs. 2100 crore and said, "Besides giving a face-lift to the town, the mega project would provide world standard basic amenities to the residents and attract more tourists to the place." Urban Development Minister Sarveen Chaudhary said the project was slated to be completed by September 20, 2020.
228 CCTV cameras, smart street lights part of the project
"Under the smart city project, besides installing environmental sensors at four locations and public addressing systems at 10 locations, 228 CCTV cameras would be set up. Smart street lights, utility ducts, and foot paths are also a part of the project," CM Thakur said. He said the work on e-nagarpalika under which the masses would be provided digitalized public services was also underway.
