Uttar Pradesh Police has issued a statewide alert after the Lashkar-e-Taiba threatened to blow up several stations as well as the Krishna Janmabhoomi temple in Mathura and the Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi between June 8-10.
The letter, received by Northern Railways on May 29, was purportedly sent by LeT area commander Maulana Ambu Shaikh, a senior official said.
