German Shepherd dies protecting owner from tiger attack in MP

In a tragic incident, a German Shepherd dog lost its life while saving its owner from a tiger attack near Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve in Umaria district of Madhya Pradesh.
The incident took place at a farm in Bharhut village. The dog's owner Shivam Bargaiya was walking with his pet when they came across the tiger coming out of the forest.
"The tiger suddenly came toward me, but my dog immediately started barking and confronted it," Shivam said.

The German Shepherd's aggressive response surprised the tiger, making it stop for a moment.
However, the tiger then lunged at the dog and started dragging it toward the forest.
After a brief tussle, the tiger let go of the dog and disappeared into the jungle.
Despite suffering severe injuries in the process, Bargaiya's pet had managed to save its owner from danger.

Bargaiya immediately rushed his injured pet to a veterinary doctor at the district headquarters.
However, despite medical treatment, the German Shepherd died a few hours later due to the severity of its injuries.
