Registration for JEE Advanced begins: All details here
The application process for the JEE Advanced has started today. All those who cleared the Main are eligible for this next stage. Candidates need to visit the official website to register for the exam to be held on May 20. Applications close at 5pm on May 7. An additional 24-hour window will be given for payment of necessary fees. Here are all details.
Follow these steps to register for the exam
To apply for Advanced, visit www.jeeadv.ac.in. Click on the link given on the homepage for registration. Login with your JEE Main roll number and password. Your pre-entered details will be loaded automatically. You will have to enter some additional information, like choice of exam city. Documents to be uploaded include Class-10 and 12 marksheets or birth certificate, and certificates for caste/disability, if required.
Fees can be paid online or at branch
The registration fee for Indian female students and SC/ST/PwD candidates is Rs. 1,300. For other Indians, it is Rs. 2,600. Among foreigners, candidates from SAARC countries will need to pay $160, and $300 from non-SAARC countries. Payment can be made through debit/credit card, internet banking, or by cash at SBI branches. If you make the payment online, make sure to download the acknowledgement slip.
Qualified candidates can appear mock tests before May 20
For the first time, the Advanced is going completely online. To allow students to familiarize themselves with the pattern and style, IIT-Kanpur, the organizing body of the 2018 Advanced, is organizing mock tests for eligible candidates across 18,000 schools during May 1-5.
