UP: 3 killed, 4 injured in rain-related incidents in one-day
As rains continued to lash Uttar Pradesh, three people, including a minor, were killed and four others injured in rain-related incidents in the state yesterday, the police said. In the first incident, two people of a family were killed and three others injured when a portion of their house in Nara village collapsed due to heavy rainfall in Muzaffarnagar.
6-year-old boy dies as roof of house collapses
The first incident in Nara village took place last night. The injured persons were rushed to a nearby hospital. In a similar incident, a six-year-old boy was killed, and his sister was injured when the roof of their house collapsed due to heavy rains in Shamli district. Subdivisional Magistrate Surjit Singh announced an ex gratia of Rs. 4 lakh for the victim's family.
