Daughter-in-law hurled abuses at elderly, pulled her hair
The daughter-in-law Kanta Bai can be seen mercilessly beating the woman, said to be 80 years old. The victim, identified as Chand Bai, was seen lying on the cot when Kanta started beating her. She pulled Chand's hair and hurled abuses. The defenseless elderly, who is a widow, cried. Narnaul Superintendent of Police Chander Mohan said Kanta considered Chand as a "burden".
Apparently, Kanta wanted Rs. 30,000 pension which Chand received
Reportedly, Chand's husband worked as Assistant Sub-Inspector in the Border Security Force. She used to receive a pension of Rs. 30,000. "She wanted to get Rs. 30,000 which victim drew as widow pension," a police official in the know said.
