Boy used his father's licensed revolver to kill principal
According to the police, the commerce student came to school between 11:30am-12:00pm and insisted that we wanted to meet principal Ritu Chhabra. He then went straight to her office and fired three bullets at her with his father's licensed revolver. It took five school staff members to get hold of him, reported Hindustan Times. Chhabra succumbed to her injuries and died in a hospital.
Offender's father also booked
The offender's father, a property dealer, has also been booked and might be charged under the Arms Act. This is the latest in a series of growing incidents of violence in schools across India. The murder of Pradyuman Thakur, a Class 2 Gurgaon student, in September last year shook the nation, with parents demanding better security systems and greater accountability from schools.
