This man makes free videos for helping students crack competitive-exams
38-year-old Dinesh Miglani from Rohtak, Haryana, has over 4 lakh subscribers on his YouTube channel. However, he is not a regular entertaining YouTuber. He instead is helping students prepare for various competitive examinations via his free YouTube tutorials. Many students have since appreciated his efforts. Here's his inspiring story.
Dinesh was a lawyer, now became a full-time tutor
Dinesh, who completed his LLB and LLM from the Delhi University, became a full-time tutor after practising law for one year. He has been helping students crack competitive exams like SSC, CAT, Civil Services, CLAT, Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, Hotel Management and other government job exams. However, in 2015, after one of his students left his coaching classes, he veered towards YouTube.
First video got 62,000 views within a week
One of his female students informed him that she could not attend the classes for SSC, which were scheduled in the evening, as her family was worried about her safety. The incident inspired Dinesh to launch his YouTube channel, 'Dinesh Miglani Tutorials'. He published his first video 'Best tricks for factorial number system' on March 5, 2015, which garnered 62,000 views within a week.
'Many students could not afford high rates of private coaching'
Dinesh told The Better India, "Several girls were not able to attend my classes. Besides, many students could not afford the high rates of private coaching classes." "Initially, I would help such students by sharing my notes over WhatsApp or email. But, I wanted to do something more concrete, so I started a YouTube channel," he added. And the tech-savvy generation welcomed his initiative.
Dinesh's one thousand videos have garnered around 1.04 crore views
After almost four years, he has uploaded over one thousand videos garnering 1.04 crore views. While he takes care of Mathematics, General Knowledge and reasoning, his wife uploads tutorials on various languages like Spanish and English. The couple also arranges interactive live sessions through YouTube to engage with their students from 8 PM to 9 PM on weekdays, i.e. Monday to Friday.
Feedback has helped me improve the quality of videos: Dinesh
While talking about appreciation from his students, he said, "From emails, WhatsApp messages to phone calls, I get a lot of feedback and appreciation messages from my students. The feedback has helped me improve the quality of videos, and encouraged me to do my best."

Rishika Revo, for example, said, "I have always been a little weak in Math. For nearly six months I watched Dinesh's videos on Math to prepare for my TISS entrance and was able to get into my desired course of study."
His videos explain complicated concepts in straightforward manner, says Singh
