Hardik Pandya enjoys 'food' with teammates, netizens ask 'No coffee?'
Weeks after getting shunned, suspended and then finally returning to the pitch, when cricketer Hardik Pandya thought the whole Koffee With Karan controversy is behind him, the public proved him wrong. Recently, when he shared a picture of him chilling out with his national teammates, having "some good food and laughs" on Instagram, netizens took a jibe at him. Here's what happened.
India lost to New Zealand in 1st T20 international match
On Wednesday, India lost the 1st match of T20 International to New Zealand by 80 runs, at the Eden Park, Auckland. Following the defeat, Pandya took to Instagram and posted a picture of his teammates- Krunal Pandya, MS Dhoni, Shubman Gill and Kedar Jadhav- hanging out at a restaurant, Joe's Garage in New Zealand. He captioned the picture, "Some food and lots of laugh."

Netizens didn't forget, brutally trolled Pandya with coffee-related puns
Soon after the 25-year-old all-rounder posted about some "food and laughs", netizens didn't miss the opportunity to remind him of "coffee". One netizen wrote, "Hard...Rock...Coffee...Just chill we won't call Karan." Another wrote, "Coffee with Dhoni." And of course, no one forgot his sexist remark as someone commented, "Hardik bhai, waha pe bhi kar ke aana. (Hardik bro, do it there too)."
Backstory: Controversy followed Pandya after he blurted sexist comments
To recall, Pandya became the face of one of the biggest controversies this year after he made sexist remarks on Koffee With Karan. In the episode, when asked about his personal life, Pandya explained how his parents were 'cool' about discussing his sex life. Speaking about the day he lost his virginity, Pandya told his parents, "Aaj Mai Karke Aaya (I did it today)."
Pandya made his presence felt in his comeback after suspension
As expected, netizens didn't show any mercy to Pandya for his misogynistic attitude. He and KL Rahul, who also appeared on the show with him, were suspended by the BCCI for a short period. Notably, Pandya made his comeback in the third One Day International at Bay Oval last week and played brilliantly.
