About Shanya Tsai and how she started HangRr
HangRr was founded by Shanya Tsai who was born in Taiwan where she worked as a part-time TV news anchor before relocating to America in 2013. Initially, she wanted to stay involved in the media industry, but soon discovered the technology and began to come up with ideas for something new that could bring value to people in the world.
New York City was a culture shock to her
Though she was excited for a new start in the US, it was a little overwhelming at first. She found herself in New York City where Shanya experienced a great deal of culture shock. Everything was different from the dress code to the culture. Yet, the one thing she did determine in all of this is that she wanted to begin a start-up business.
Shanya didn't want to hire a network of styling professionals
