Gurugram: 2 men burnt to death in car after accident
Two men were charred to death inside their car which caught fire after a speeding truck rammed into it at Gurugram's Rajiv Chowk. The incident took place at around 4.30am at the Delhi-Jaipur side of the flyover. One of the deceased has been identified as Manpreet Singh, the driver. An FIR was registered under IPC sections 304A and 289 against the errant truck driver.
Failure of the central locking system caused the death
As soon as the car, fitted with a CNG kit, was rammed by the speeding truck, it caught fire. It appears that the victims received injuries and could not come out of the vehicle due to the failure of the central locking system. "By then, the fire had engulfed the entire vehicle and the duo was burnt alive in the car," police said.
The police have launched a manhunt
"The truck fled the spot and the police have launched a manhunt. We have registered an FIR under IPC sections 304A and 289 against the errant truck driver at the Sadar police station and scanning CCTV cameras installed on the expressway," the officer said.
