Gurgaon: Woman accuses boss of repeated rape, 'unnatural sex,' blackmail
An employee of a Gurgaon company has accused her boss of repeatedly raping her, forcing her for 'unnatural sex' and threatening to "make (her) life hell." The harassment allegedly started within a week of her joining the Sohna Road-based company in May'17. Throughout the months, he took her to various locations and forced himself on her. He also shot her video and blackmailed her.
The harassment allegedly started in her first week of joining
In her first week itself, the boss allegedly asked the woman out for lunch, where he used vulgar language and touched her inappropriately. In June, he told her there was a dinner with clients at a Mehrauli hotel, but when she reached, she found just him. He told her he would drop her home, but sprayed something on her face and she fell unconscious.
Then followed months of rape and blackmail
When she woke up, she was in a room and realized she had been raped. He had also engaged in "unnatural sex," she said, and made a video. He threatened her saying his wife is an IPS officer. He then started blackmailing her and took her to various places in Kullu, Manali, Amritsar, Jaipur and others, where he would force her for similar acts.
Police to take further action based on probe's findings
The woman finally approached police after he raped her and then violently abused her on February 9. Police have now charged the accused for rape, abusing his position of power, unnatural offences, criminal intimidation and more. Cops are probing the matter and verifying facts. Further action will be taken based on findings, said Gurgaon Police spokesperson Ravinder Kumar.
