Surat: This couple comes up with WhatsApp-themed wedding card
In the midst of the wedding season in India, soon-to-be-wed couples are coming up with unique ideas to spice up their wedding celebrations. In one such move, a Surat-based couple, has come up with a WhatsApp-styled wedding invitation, which is four pages long. The couple, which says the card took a week to design, is set to get married in February. Here's more.
Groom, a web designer, came up with the quirky-yet-innovative card
Chintan, the would-be-groom is a web designer by profession, and has designed the four-page quirky wedding card. He credits his soon-to-be-wife Aarzoo for hatching the idea. The card is of green color, matching it with WhatsApp's theme and has 'Unlock Invitation' printed on its cover. The details inside the wedding invitation card are written in a mix of English and Gujarati.
'You are obligated to attend wedding, else you'll be blocked'
The card has a display picture of the couple with their contact name as "Chintan loves Aarzoo" and the status read, "You are obligated to attend our wedding, else you will be blocked on WhatsApp." Instead of the WhatsApp logo on the cover, Aarzoo said they placed Lord Ganesha's picture to give it a traditional touch. Further, the card read, "Wedding Invitation. Version: Infinity."

We have to keep up with new generation: Chintan's father
The extraordinary invite also had the approval of the duo's parents (surprisingly). Pradeep Desai, father of Chintan, said, "We have to keep up with the new generation. When they showed me the card, I really liked it, so I approved it."
Previously, a couple's Chemistry-themed invitation caught attention of Tharoor
Such innovative moves during wedding preparations seem to have become a trend in India recently. In December last year, a Kerala couple caught Congress leader Shashi Tharoor's eye and caused much 'reaction' on the Internet, after they came up with a 'Chemistry-themed' wedding invite. Also, in 2018, a Pune couple's PUBG-themed wedding shoot turned eyeballs and grabbed attention on social media.
