Ram Mandir consecration guest list: Celebs, politicians, industrialists to attend
The highly anticipated consecration ceremony of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is scheduled for January 22, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in attendance for the pran pratishtha event. Approximately 7,000 guests, including politicians, sports stars, celebrities, and industrialists from India and abroad, have received invitations from the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. Moreover, the temple town of Ayodhya is preparing to welcome over 100,000 devotees every day after Ram Mandir's inauguration.

Notable politicians on the guest list include Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) veterans LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi. From the Congress, party chief Mallikarjun Kharge and senior party leaders Sonia Gandhi, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, and MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury have been invited to the event. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, former PM HD Deve Gowda, and Himachal Pradesh minister Vikramaditya Singh are also on the list. Sports icons Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar are among the invitees, too.

The star-studded event would also feature Bollywood celebrities such as Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar, and Kangana Ranaut. January 17 procession canceled
Beginning one week before the main ceremony on January 16, Vedic rites will be performed for Ram Lalla's pran pratishtha (consecration) ceremony in Ayodhya. Meanwhile, the January 17 procession that was supposed to give devotees a chance to see the new idol of Ram Lalla has been called off by the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. Instead, on January 17, the trust will host a tour of the new idol within the Ram Janmabhoomi grounds.
