'Cool' photo with cannabis plants lands Chennai men in jail
Photographs have often landed criminals in jail. Recently, Canadian police tracked down a killer with the help of a selfie. Now cops in Chennai have nabbed two men who were implicated by a Facebook photo. In it, Kamal is seen with cannabis plants, which the cops discovered he had grown on his terrace garden in Royapettah. The other was arrested for clicking the picture.
One posted photo online despite his friend warning him
According to police, 22-year-old Saikumar clicked Kamal's pictures with the cannabis plants, but upon his insistence, agreed not to post them online. However, he went ahead and posted it online and tagged Kamal too. The photo was circulated widely: social media users wanted to know where it had been clicked. When the Royapettah police was alerted, they nabbed Saikumar, who led them to Kamal.
