Bihar University girls can now report sexual-harassment to Raj Bhavan
Bihar Governor Satya Pal Mallik asking girls studying in Bihar universities to report directly to the Raj Bhavan any complaints of molestation or sexual harassment on campuses has triggered a political spat between opposition RJD and ruling JD(U). Leader of the opposition in the assembly Tejashwi Yadav today claimed that this was a reflection on the shameful law and order situation in Bihar.
Officers deputed in Raj Bhavan to attend to such complaints
At a function organized by office-bearers of students unions of various universities in Patna yesterday, Mallik said that officers have been deputed in Raj Bhavan and given special telephone numbers for attending to such complaints and helping the victims. Meanwhile, Yadav tweeted, "Extremely Shameful! The Governor is aware that law and order is in a shameful mess under CM Nitish Kumar's rule."

Entire Bihar remembers terror, lawlessness during 15-year RJD rule: JD(U)
Janata Dal (United), headed by the CM, reacted angrily to Yadav's allegations. "RJD leaders are trying to act too smart. Entire Bihar remembers the terror and lawlessness they had to suffer while the party enjoyed power in Bihar for 15 years. The Governor is not separate from the government and his utterance only underscored the government's sensitivity," JD(U) spokesman and MLC Neeraj Kumar said.
