'Going to resign after 2 days': Kejriwal makes shocking announcement
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced that he will step down from his post in two days. "I will resign as CM. I will not sit on that chair till the people announce their verdict. Elections in Delhi are months away," he said. The shocking announcement comes two days after he was granted bail by the Supreme Court in the excise policy case.

He added that the next CM will be decided in two-three days.

He further said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) wanted to break the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and form its government by sending him to jail but failed. On why he didn't resign despite being imprisoned, he said, "I wanted to protect the country's democracy... They have made a new formula—wherever they lose, they send the CM to jail and form their government."
