Former Goa CM and Congress legislator Pratapsingh Rane hospitalized
Former Goa Chief Minister and incumbent Congress MLA Pratapsingh Rane has been admitted to a state-run hospital after he complained of fever. 79-year-old Rane was rushed to the Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in North Goa's Bambolim, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Girish Chodankar said. Rane, who is the longest-serving Chief Minister of Goa, is also a five-time Congress legislator from Poriem constituency.

Chodankar said Rane is likely to be discharged later today or tomorrow. A senior GMCH official said Rane came to the hospital yesterday following which some tests were conducted, adding, "He was advised to remain admitted as his condition required to be monitored. Pratapsingh Rane's son Vishwajit quit the Congress last year and joined BJP. He is currently the Health Minister of Goa.
