Ghaziabad: 18-year-old woman murders her mother over gay relationship
An 18-year-old woman in Ghaziabad allegedly bludgeoned her mother with rods as her family objected to her gay relationship with a teacher. The 38-year-old mother succumbed to her injuries yesterday, two days after the attack. According to the father, the woman had been in a relationship with a teacher in her school since over three months, and they planned to run away together.
Daughter attacked mother with 'sticks and rods'
The father said that the woman attacked her mother "with sticks and rods" when they were alone at home in the Kavi Nagar area on March 9. She then fled. When the younger daughter arrived from school, she saw her mother bleeding heavily and called police. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, and later transferred to another in Delhi, but died yesterday.
The accused and her alleged lover are now absconding
The father said two months ago, the 18-year-old had tried to run away with the teacher, but they managed to bring her back. They even discontinued her studies in Class 11 to keep her away from the 35-year-old teacher, he said. An FIR has now been lodged against the woman and her teacher for culpable homicide not amounting to murder. Both are absconding.
