A 10-year-old girl was killed after a giant wheel crashed in Andhra Pradesh's Anantapur district on Sunday night.
The accident happened when a bolt came out and one of the trolleys of a high-speed giant wheel crashed, much to the onlookers' horror.
The accident injured six others, including three children, who are undergoing treatment at a hospital. Many alleged the giant-wheel operator was drunk.
What happened
Onlookers told operator about loose bolt, he ignored alerts
The fair was organized at a junior college ground in Anantapur. The deceased was identified as Amrutha.
Since it was a weekend, and summer vacations have been declared, the fair was crowded.
Onlookers said they alerted the drunk operator about a loose bolt, but he didn't stop the ride. The ride was at full speed, and when it crashed, Amrutha died on the spot.

Details
People thrashed operator after accident, probe ordered in the case
The fair was called 'Robo Animals Exhibition'. Reportedly, Amrutha belonged to Siddaramapuram at Atmakur mandal in Anantapur.
After the tragic incident, people at the fair got hold of the operator and thrashed him. He was later handed over to the police.
A probe into the accident has been ordered by the district administration.
