Amid tension in Hajin, another terrorist killed in encounter

An LeT terrorist was killed in an encounter this morning at Hajin in Bandipora district of Kashmir.
Police, army and CRPF had launched a search operation in Shakurdin village after receiving intel about presence of terrorists.
But it turned into an encounter when they opened fire.
Hajin had been shut down the last two days in honor of a terrorist killed in the area.

Thousands attend Pakistani terrorist's funeral in Hajin
Three days ago, a Pakistani terrorist sustained bullet wounds in an encounter and succumbed to his injuries a day later.
Thousands of locals attended his funeral in the Khos Mohalla area, refused to hand over his body to police and shouted anti-India and pro-freedom slogans, local media reported.
Police said action would be taken against those "who led the protest and instigated the public."

At least 206 terrorists killed last year
According to J&K DGP SP Vaid, at least 206 terrorists were killed in the state last year under Operation All Out.
While 85 were local, 121 were foreigners.
Apart from them, 75 youths who had either joined or were about to join militancy had also been brought back, he said.
There was a "downward trend" of local youths joining militancy, he said.
