Madhya Pradesh: Four-year-old raped and killed by aunt's rapist
A four-year-old was raped and murdered in Madhya Pradesh by a man, who was recently released from jail after spending six months there on charges of raping the deceased's aunt. The horrible incident took place in the Morena district on Thursday evening. Police informed that the accused, 36-year-old Bunty Rajak has been arrested and has confessed to the crime. Victim disappeared, family members launched a search
As per Narendra Sharma, the station-in-charge of Sabalgarh Police station, the victim disappeared last evening. "Her family members failed to find her anywhere in the village, following which they started searching her on the outskirts," Sharma revealed. She was later found lying in a pool of blood in a mustard field. Rajak had lured her by offering her to buy chocolates.
Rajak was booked under POCSO Act
After being apprised about the incident, the police rushed to the spot and arrested Rajak. "Rajak confessed to his crime and he was booked for the rape and murder of the girl. Relevant sections of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention Of Atrocities) Act and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act were also slapped against him," Sharma said.
Villagers blocked roads, tried vandalizing house of accused
Furious over the incident, the family members of the deceased along with villagers blocked the road in Morena on Friday and demanded capital punishment. They also attempted to vandalize Rajak's house. The victim's kin informed Sharma that Rajak might have committed the crime to settle an old score. The deceased lived with her grandparents as her parents work as laborers in Jaipur.
Another minor was raped by neighbor, is recuperating
In another shocking incident, nearly 500 kilometer away from Morena, a five-year-old was raped by her neighbor in the Nai Garhi area of Rewa district on Thursday. The victim was found in a critical condition inside a hut and was rushed to the Sanjay Gandhi Medical College Hospital. She is said to be stable. The accused, 25, has been held.
