Union Minister KJ Alphons is a 1979-batch IAS officer
KJ Alphons, who hails from Kerala's Kottayam, is a 1979-batch IAS officer who resigned in 2006 to join politics. He entered politics as an LDF-supported Independent and became an MLA from Kerala's Kanjirapally in 2006. He joined the BJP in 2011. Alphons is currently a Member of Rajya Sabha and Minister of State for Tourism and Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology.
Raj Kumar Singh is a 1975-batch IAS officer
Raj Kumar Singh, a 1975-batch IAS officer, served as Union Home Secretary after which he retired from the service in 2013 and joined BJP the same year. He then contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections from Bihar's Arrah and won from the constituency. In 2017, RK Singh was appointed the Minister of State for Power (Independent Charge) and New and Renewable Energy (Independent Charge).
