Rajasthan: 5 arrested for betting on SRH-RCB IPL match
Five people were arrested on the charges of betting on the Indian Premier League match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Sikar district of Rajasthan. Acting on a tip-off, police yesterday arrested Mohammad Aslam, Surendra Singh, Narayan Singh, Surendra, and Sarvesh for betting on the IPL match last night, SHO (Kotwali) Mahaveer Singh said. Fifty mobile phones, one LED television, laptops, and transaction slips to the tune of crores were recovered from them, the officer said. A case has been registered and the police are investigating the matter for further details, he added.

In similar incidents, four people were arrested in two separate cases in Hyderabad for allegedly indulging in online betting on the ongoing Indian Premier League cricket matches. Police teams raided two places in the city on receipt of information and apprehended the four men when they were accepting online bets. Five mobile phones, one television, and Rs. 84,350 cash were seized from them.
