Fire erupts at Ministry of Home Affairs office, no casualties
What's the story
A fire broke out on the second floor of the north block of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) office on Tuesday.
The Delhi Fire Service (DFS) was alerted about the incident at 9:20am and had successfully extinguished the flames by 9:35am.
A representative from the fire department confirmed that seven fire tenders were dispatched to douse the flames.

The fire, which was located in the IC Division of the MHA office, caused damage to a photocopier, multiple computers, and some paperwork according to official reports.
Despite the presence of several high-ranking officers at the time of the incident, no injuries were reported.
Notably, Union Home Minister Amit Shah was not in the building when the fire broke out.
