Nitish Kumar's office receives bomb threat from 'Al-Qaeda'; FIR registered
The Bihar Police has initiated an investigation after Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's office received an email threatening to blow up the building. According to officials, the CMO got an email from an unidentifiable account claiming to be linked with Al-Qaeda on July 16. The sender threatened that the CMO premises would be "blown up with a bomb," claiming that even Bihar's special police could not stop it.
Case registered
"It's an old case... we have registered an FIR on August 2 after an inquiry" Patna Senior Superintendent of Police Rajeev Mishra told PTI. The case has been registered against unknown individuals under Sections 351 (4) and (3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, as well as Section 66 (F) of the IT Act.
