Former PM's office under CBI investigation in coal scam
The office of a former Prime Minister has come under the ambit of CBI's investigation regarding coal block allocation cases, the government said. Without taking any names, Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh said in 20 cases, CBI has obtained files from the PM's office pertaining to approval of coal blocks by then PM who acted in the capacity of Minister of Coal.
CBI has not filed any charge-sheet so far: Singh
"CBI has examined officers of PMO in this regard who have dealt the files of allocations of coal blocks. However, CBI has not filed any charge-sheet against the officers of PMO and also not referred any matter to government for taking action," the Minister said.
