The wedding of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's eldest son with the daughter of party legislator Chandrika Rai, on Saturday, will be marked by 7,000 guests and 50 horses. For the humongous number of guests, 30 and 25 rooms have been booked at Patliputra Continental and Hotel Amrapali Residency respectively. Apart from this, 20 rooms each have been booked at Hotel Maurya and Hotel Amalfi Grand and 10 at Hotel Frontline Residency. In a bid to make the 'baraat' grand (read appease RJD chief), Barhara legislator Saroj Yadav has sent 50 horses.
Amritsari Kulcha, Bihari litti-chokha to please guests' taste-buds
The Kanpur-based event management group, Bhatia Hotel Private Limited, has been directed to prepare food with a hint of originality for the guests. Dishes like Amritsari Kulcha, Agra's Paratha, and Bihar's litti-chokha, are reported to be the highlights of the wedding-menu. More than 100 stalls have been set up at the wedding venue, with special ones for VVIPs and family members, to avoid chaos.

MA Rehman, a Bihar-born designer, was tasked with designing Tej Pratap's attire for the day. The former health minister wanted to keep it classy, hence, Rehman designed two sets of kurta-pajama for him. Rehman also stitched the attire for Tej's younger brother Tejashwi Yadav. Aishwarya did her trousseau shopping from Patna and Delhi, and her lehenga is reported to be created by local designers.

Lalu Prasad Yadav gets parole for wedding, then a bail
Serving his sentence after being convicted in fodder scam, Lalu Prasad Yadav was given three-day parole on Thursday to attend his son's wedding. On Friday, the Ranchi High Court granted a provisional bail of six weeks to the RJD chief on medical grounds.
