The UP government is hiring 'Young Professionals'
The Uttar Pradesh government has invited applications for the post of "Young Professional" for the effective planning and execution of the Kumbh 2019 in Prayagraj. Candidates aged below 30 years (as on 1 Jul'18) who have completed MBA/PGDM/MCA can apply. There are 10 positions open and if hired, the professionals will get Rs. 50,000/month. Prayagraj authorities to deploy Swachhagrahis, volunteer attendants for differently-abled pilgrims
Authorities in Prayagraj are going to deploy one lakh Swachhagrahis (cleanliness agents) to maintain hygiene and cleanliness during the Mela. Also, the Prayagraj Mela authority is ensuring accessible facilities for the differently-abled pilgrims arriving for the Kumbh Mela. It is making arrangements for toilets and relaxation houses, which will require workers for construction and volunteer attendants for pilgrim assistance too.
Tourism sector: Jobs for guides, interpreters, taxi drivers, volunteers
The Kumbh 2019 in Prayagraj will attract many tourists and the tourism industry is expected to generate lakhs of jobs both in the organized and unorganized sectors. There will be a huge demand for tour guides, language interpreters, taxi drivers, tour operators, volunteers, etc. Also, the employment generation potential of festival stands during the Mela is expected to be massive.
Workers for crowd management, sanitation, medical camps
As millions of people will be gathering for the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, lakhs of workers will be required for assisting the authorities as well as private companies and NGOs for the smooth conduction of the religious event.
